EnergyMatched ("we", "us", "our") operates a free matching service that connects Australian businesses with independent commercial energy brokers, who review business electricity and gas bills and contracts and look for a better rate. By using our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms.

What this service is

EnergyMatched is a free matching service for businesses. We are not an energy retailer or an energy broker. We do not sell electricity or gas, and we do not become a party to any energy contract. Brokers are paid by energy retailers, so the service is free for your business.

The service is for businesses in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and the Australian Capital Territory. We cannot currently help businesses in Western Australia or the Northern Territory.

What happens when you submit

When you submit an enquiry through our website or a linked lead form, we contact you to confirm your details. The first call may come from our AI assistant. We then book a short online meeting with a broker, who reviews your bill and contract. The details you provide (including your name, business name, phone number, email address, state, postcode and enquiry details) are passed to that broker so they can contact you about your review.

By submitting your details you consent to being contacted by us and by that broker by phone, SMS or email. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is collected, used and shared.

No guarantees

We do not guarantee:

• that we have a broker available for your business;
• that you will receive a review, an offer or a response;
• any particular rate, saving, timeframe or outcome; or
• the suitability of any broker or energy offer for your specific circumstances.

Savings

Any saving depends on your usage, your current contract and the offers available at the time. Nothing on this website is a quote or a promise of any financial outcome. Before you switch, check the full terms of any new contract, including any exit fees on your current one.

Broker responsibility

The brokers we connect you with are independent businesses. EnergyMatched is not a party to any agreement between you and a broker or an energy retailer. We are not responsible for the advice, pricing, contract terms, or any dispute arising from services provided by a broker or retailer. All questions about a review, an offer or a contract should be directed to the relevant broker or retailer.

Acceptable use

You must only submit your own contact details, for a business you own or manage or are authorised to act for. Do not submit an enquiry using another person's details without their knowledge and explicit consent.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer guarantee or other right you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
